How To Exchange Travelers1. Make your Flat Travelers. If you are going to exchange, please have this step done first. If you are willing to host a flat without exchanging, then this step isn't as important. 2. Find a family or class to exchange with. The two best sources I've found are listed below. You must register with both sites. It helps to keep participants safe. For classrooms- http://www.flatstanley.com/ (This site does allow homeschoolers to register.) For homeschoolers- http://groups.yahoo.com/group/flat_travelers_homeschool/ 3. Privately arrange the details. How long will the Flats visit? Will one regular stamp be adequate? If not, make other arrangements. (I say this because our package requires more than one stamp. I include return postage to ensure his safe return.) Do you have any special requests? 4. Privately trade snail mail addresses. Please DO NOT list your home address on a message board. We got a post office box in another town, just to ensure safety. This is not necessary, but do be careful who you give your address to. 5. Have a great time hosting your visitor. 6. Enjoy your return package! 7. Send a thank you note or e-mail to your host.
