A LETTER FROM THE DARBY FAMILY

Hello. We are the Darby Family. Thank you for hosting Baxter for us.

We live in Southern New Jersey. There are four members of our family: Brian, Michelle, Angel, and Elizabeth.

Brian is 35. His birthday is September 26th. He works full-time as a mortgage broker and has two home businesses that he runs part-time- a web hosting business and an industrial air equipment business. He enjoys being with his family, watching mixed martial arts events, reading, and watching television.

Michelle is 33. Her birthday is September 21st. She is a wife, homeschool mother, and works from home. She recently started a website called www.darbyflats.com. She also assists Brian in running the home businesses. She enjoys being with her family, watching NHL hockey, mixed martial arts events, reading, and several television shows.

AA is 13. Her birthday is September 8th. She lives with her father and step-mother in North Jersey. She comes to our house every other weekend and for several weeks in the summer. She very much enjoys fashion. She draws and is learning to sew. She likes going to public school and is very social. She is active in the chess club, and wants to start a writing club.

EL will be 7 on December 29th. She homeschools. She enjoys animals (but is scared of them.) Her favorite thing to do is drive Mom bonkers. She loves people and their attention. She is in the process of learning to read. We will start our formal homeschooling in October 2009.

We live no more than an hour away from Delaware and New York. It takes us about ten minutes to get to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. There are a ton of things to see and do around here. As we take Flat Travelers we are hosting on field trips, we will post pictures and links of all the cool stuff around here on Michelle's website.

We love exchanging postcards, hosting and sending Flat Travelers, writing to pen pals, playing family games, and cooking/baking together.

Due to severe allergies in the family (we lovingly call Angel our walking allergy), we are unable to have pets. We would love to hear about yours if you have any! Elizabeth has been trying to convince Mom to get hermit crabs, but Mom's not to thrilled about the idea.

We guess that's about it for now. We can't wait to get to know you. We hope you have a good time with Baxter. Please watch him when he's playing with your pets. We had a tail-pulling incident and it wasn't pretty.
